DON BERNARDINO MENCIA - 4 GENERACION 2019
Following the Ribeira Sacra tradition of Mencia red wine, we add this elaboration
of selected harvests aged in French oak barrels.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: It is of deep cherry red color with hints of purple. Its fragrance presents a distinguished and delicate aromatic intensity that is well matched by the fragrance of wood. It is powerful, elegant, structured and corpulent in the mouth. The bottle has tamed it and it is in the wineglass where it shows its elegance and smoothness: a wine created for enjoyment.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14 -18 degrees Celsius
GASTRONOMY: It is the ideal companion for traditional cooking: roasts, meat pies, wild boar and deer as well as piglet, ribs and red meat.
ELABORATION PROCESS: Harvested by hand and picked by area at full ripeness.
Carefully hand elaborated and of limited production.
The grapes are put into vats and macerated at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days during which time they are pumped over on a daily basis to achieve the desired smell and color. Once removed from the vats, the wine is put into barrels made of French oak for malolactic conversion and remains there until it is bottled.
