History:
Thomas H. Handy 2018 is a bold spirit with a legacy dating back to 1782. The famed Sazerac Coffee House, founded in 1850 in New Orleans, was a popular gathering spot known for its fine spirits. Thomas H. Handy, the owner of Sazerac House, launched the Sazerac Company in 1919, which managed to survive Prohibition by incorporating a restaurant and deli. After Prohibition, the company resumed its cocktail-making business, moving to the Roosevelt Hotel in 1949. In 1999, Buffalo Trace Distillery was launched, leading to the acquisition of several distilleries and brands, making it one of the most recognized companies in the nation.
